What is the difference between JumpStart and xPress?
JumpStart is a preparation service. It offers a convenient, affordable, and fast way to complete the most tedious part of the design process. All elements are imported and loosely laid out on the poster template, letting you focus on edits and positioning. You won't have to worry about where to start, quality of photos, graphics, tables, text sizes, etc. xPress is a more traditional design service. You provide the content, and we complete the poster from beginning to end.
How long does the process take?
The JumpStart service is typically a "Same-Day" service, depending on the volume of orders. For example, if you submit your materials in the morning (M-F), you should expect to have a working file by the end of the day or sooner. The xPress service typically takes less than two days to complete a poster. If our work volume is such that may interfere with your deadline, we will let you know promptly.
Can I choose my own design?
If you already have a PowerPoint poster template that meets your project's requirements, we will be happy to use it for your project. Otherwise, we will use one of our poster templates. You can see our templates on this page: https://www.posterpresentations.com/free-poster-templates.html
Do I get to keep the poster file you create?
Once your poster project has been paid for and completed, we will send you our PowerPoint document so that you can modify it as needed and use it for future projects. No restrictions apply. Once we email the file to you, we may delete it from our servers and may not have access to it in the future.
Do I have to print my poster with your company?
You do not have to use our printing services. The finalized PowerPoint file you will receive from us will be printable by any professional printing service.
How much should I expect to pay for this service?
The JumpStart service costs $49, and there are no additional fees. The service does not include additional support. Anyone with limited PowerPoint skills will find this service very useful. The cost of designing a poster through the xPress service starts at $199. Any revisions other than word/sentence changes may add to the price with a minimum of $50. We strongly suggest that all the materials you provide are finalized and approved by all involved parties before submission. Printing and shipping costs are not included in the price.
What do I need to provide so we can start the design process?
What you need to provide so we can complete your project:
• The required poster size is specified by the conference organizers. Please refer to their specifications before ordering.
• Text: Provide a Word document with all the text you want on your poster. Your text should be in the order you want it to appear on your poster. Do not forget to add a poster title, the names of the authors, including their credentials and the name of all affiliated institutions.
• Photos: Try to provide good quality images. Images taken from the internet may not be of adequate resolution for printing.
• Tables, graphs, and charts: Moving tables, charts, and graphs from one document to another may alter their color or other properties. Upload your graphics in their original documents and indicate where they need to be added to your poster.
