ABSTRACT:
Organizations need creative employees to enhance workplace
productivity, efficiency, flexibility and esprit de corps among
colleagues. Exponential technology advancements will drive
research and development departments to be more reliant on
identifying workers with heightened creative cognition for staying
competitive in their service and product fields. The purpose of this
online research is to assess creative cognition as a factor
influencing worker organizational performance. Research
participants include 160 individuals took this study online at a
Global University reporting 31 years average age with 10.74
average years full-time work experiences. Measures include
creative cognition subsuming idea manipulation, imagery/sensory,
flow, metaphorical/analogical, idea generation, and incubation.
Correlation and regression analyses were conducted for multiple
intelligences, emotional intelligence, personality, values, and
happiness. Some significant findings were found between creative
cognition and multiple, emotional intelligences, extraversion,
openness to experience, and achievement. Encouraging creative
cognition may enhance organizational productivity and worker
happiness.
