ABSTRACT:
This poster demonstrates the impact of a combined approach to remedial education with regard to improving medical documentation. Participants in this study enrolled in both the CPEP Medical Record Keeping Seminar (Seminar) and its six-month follow-up, the Personalized Implementation Program (PIP).
There were three inclusion criteria for the study population:
1. Submission of a baseline set of patient charts prior to the Seminar
2. Completion of the Seminar
3. Completion of three chart reviews at two, four, and six months after the Seminar
Data presented here demonstrates the impact of this approach in improving medical documentation.
